Hi Reader, Let’s talk about something that can quietly make or break your vacation: your room category. You’ve been counting down the days to your all inclusive vacation. You finally arrive, excited for a week of pampering, only to head home feeling like the trip didn’t quite live up to what you expected.
Why? You may have simply booked the wrong room category.
When you book an all inclusive, you expect your holiday to feel special from start to finish. You’ve had visions of endless hours poolside with a never-ending glass of prosecco in hand. No cooking, no cleaning, everything the phrase “all inclusive” evokes. Vacations in general are more expensive these days, and we get that. That’s why it’s so important to think about the type of experience you really want and how your room choice can affect the outcome of your trip. You’ve worked hard for this break, and you deserve to get the most out of it. Sure, the entry level room gets you onto the property and gives you access to the same pools, restaurants, and activities. But the extras, the special attention, the personal touches, the priority service are often reserved for guests who book premium categories like “Club Level” or “Preferred Club.” In many cases, you really do get what you pay for. If you want the service, the special touches, and don’t have a travel advisor to VIP your stay, booking the higher room category is the safer bet. This is especially true at many of the large, mainstream all inclusives in popular destinations like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, or Jamaica. To be fair, not every resort works this way, but enough of them do that it’s worth keeping in mind. Here’s something else to think about...Would you rather book an entry level room at a 5-star resort, or a club level at a 4-star? If personalized service and special touches are your priority, your money could be better spent on the upgraded room at the slightly lower-rated property. It’s something worth weighing before you book. At the end of the day, it comes down to knowing your travel style and what you value most. A small upgrade on paper can mean a big difference in how your holiday actually feels. It’s the kind of detail that can turn a good vacation into a great one. So when you’re planning your next well earned vacay, ask yourself what matters most. If it’s about being pampered and feeling taken care of from the moment you arrive, then the right room category is worth every penny. And if you ever want a little extra guidance or those special VIP touches at our preferred partner resorts, just reach out, we’re always happy to help. Cheers from us🍹 If you're interested in booking a new vacation for 2025 or 2026, please use the link below to book your complimentary consultation. |

Happy New Year Reader! If you’ve got even a tiny thought floating around about planning a vacation in 2026, now is a really good time to start thinking about one thing in particular.
